OutBrew began with a simple frustration.

After years working in the coffee industry as a barista, I developed a deep respect for what makes a truly good cup of coffee — precision, balance, temperature, pressure. The details matter.

But whenever I went camping with friends, something felt off.

We would be surrounded by mountains, open skies, and incredible views… and then settle for average coffee.

Instant.
Over-extracted stovetop brews.
Or simply no proper espresso at all.

I wanted to be able to make my friends a proper flat white or cappuccino — the kind you’d expect from a quality coffee shop — even when we were far from electricity.

What surprised me was how limited the options were in South Africa. For a country that lives outdoors — from camping trips to overlanding to coastal weekends — there were almost no premium, manual espresso solutions available locally.

OutBrew was born from that gap.

The goal is simple:
To bring high-quality, electricity-free espresso equipment to South Africans who refuse to compromise — whether at home, travelling, or outdoors.

Because good coffee shouldn’t stop where the road ends.
